1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Mizan.

By accessing or using Mizan, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Mizan is a personal and household financial organization platform that allows users to record, organize, analyze, and manage financial information.

Features may include budgeting, expense tracking, net worth calculations, goal tracking, asset management, liability tracking, household collaboration, reporting, and related services.

3. No Financial Advice

Mizan is a technology platform. Mizan is not a bank, lender, broker, investment adviser, financial adviser, accounting firm, law firm, or tax adviser.

Information provided through Mizan is for informational and organizational purposes only. Any reports, calculations, estimates, forecasts, budgets, insights, recommendations, notifications, or other outputs from Mizan should not be considered financial, investment, legal, accounting, tax, religious, or professional advice of any kind.

You remain solely responsible for your decisions and actions. Any Zakat-related figures are estimates only and should not be considered a religious ruling or authoritative determination.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining account security, protecting login credentials, ensuring the accuracy of information you provide, complying with applicable laws, and obtaining permission for any third-party information you upload.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to violate any law, interfere with platform operation, attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious software, misuse the service, or reverse engineer the platform except where permitted by law.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights relating to Mizan — including software, content, trademarks, branding, and technology — remain the exclusive property of Mizan and its licensors.

7. Availability

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or update any feature or service at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mizan disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, accuracy, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mizan, its founders, employees, affiliates, contractors, licensors, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, savings, investments, business opportunities, goodwill, or data.

Our total liability arising out of or relating to the service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount paid by you to Mizan during the previous 12 months; or (b) USD 50.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mizan, its founders, employees, affiliates, contractors, and partners from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using Mizan at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or present security, legal, operational, or business risks.

12. Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds

Mizan offers optional paid plans (currently Premium and Household), billed as a one-time prepaid charge for the period you choose (monthly or annual) through our payment provider, Ziina. Plans do not auto-renew — you will not be charged again automatically; you choose whether to renew each period. Prices are shown at checkout and are inclusive of any applicable taxes.

14-day money-back guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your first paid subscription (monthly or annual), you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment, and we will return it to your original payment method.

Renewal & cancellation

Because plans do not auto-renew, there is nothing to cancel — simply choose not to renew. Your paid features remain active until the end of the period you paid for. After the 14-day window, payments are non-refundable except as set out below or where required by law.

Refunds

Beyond the 14-day guarantee, refunds may apply in these cases:

• Duplicate or erroneous charges: refunded in full once verified.
• Failure to deliver: if a paid feature you were charged for is unavailable for a prolonged period due to a fault on our side, you may request a pro-rated refund for the affected period.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method through Ziina and may take several business days to appear. Extra household member seats follow the same billing and refund terms as the plan they are added to.

Promotional or complimentary access (including promo codes) has no cash value and is not refundable.

To request a refund, contact support@mymizan.co with your account email and the date of the charge. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under applicable law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bahrain unless otherwise required by applicable law.
